New Dog Park for Bacchus Marsh

Member for Eureka Michaela Settle today announced a new dog park for Racecourse Reserve, Bacchus Marsh.

The Allan Labor Government is creating more dog parks right across Victoria for families to take their beloved pooches out to play, exercise and socialise in a safe place. The Government investing $4.9 million into Round 2 of the New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program.

This project focuses on creating a designated off-leash dog park strategically located to provide recreation opportunities for the regional community and their dogs. The dog park will feature separate securely fenced areas for small and large dogs, amenities, shade structures, improved pathways, grassy open areas for socialization, as well as dog-friendly landscaping.

The dog park projects were chosen through a statewide competitive application process with councils, with construction expected to be completed on all projects by the end 2026.

These projects are being delivered as part of the Labor Government’s $20.8 million investment to build new and upgraded dog parks and better parks and playgrounds.

This investment is all about creating more open space for families and their pets so they can get outdoors and explore nature close to home.
