DELIVERING MORE SOCIAL HOMES IN BALLARAT

More Victorians on the housing register will soon have a place to call home following the completion of five new homes in Mount Clear jointly funded by the Allan Labor Government.

Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Victoria Michaela Settle today visited the brand-new social homes in Ballarat, which will provide residents with modern, accessible and energy-efficient homes.

The Labor Government invested more than $1.5 million in the project, delivering four one-bedroom and one three-bedroom stand-alone units that feature wide doorways and step-free entrances to ensure residents with mobility aids or prams can move around with ease.

Located close to essential amenities, residents will have access to the Midvale Shopping Centre, local schools, medical services, and public transport connecting them to central Ballarat.

Haven Home Safe, a not-for-profit community and affordable housing provider, will provide property and tenancy management to the Mount Clear site, ensuring residents have access to support programs and services they need.

The Government is delivering 13,300 homes across the state as part of the Government’s $6.3 billion Big Housing Build and Regional Housing Fund, with more than 10,100 complete or currently underway. This includes an investment of $145 million in City of Ballarat with more than 380 homes complete or underway.
